This 5 min spot by artist, educator, enviornmental activist, and explorer Mara G Haseltine as an introduction of her work for a panel entitled “Women of the Deep” celebrating Female Explorer’s in the Ocean. “Women of the Deep” was part of a five day symposium celebrating the 40th anniversary of the first class of women explorers at The Explorer’s Club.

“Women of the Deep” was moderated by coastal Geologist Martha Shaw and also featured Aulani Wilhelm, a conservationist and “voyager” based in Hawaii, Meagan Brosnan WildAID Director, Elizabeth Weidner studing the ocean with broadband acoustics and Cynthia Matze raising awareness on the connection between whales and debris.
